PROBUS offers many clubs within its organization to provide members with a chance to learn new skills or to simply enjoy a social outing with those with similar interests. Our current mini-clubs are as follows:

Dear Book Club
The Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R.) Book Club meets ten months of each year (the first Thursday afternoon of each month). We take turns as hostess to select a book, send out reminders, provide light refreshments and prepare a report for the Newsletter. Book Worms
My book club the Bookworms has 10 members. We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1.30. pm. We have been meeting via Zoom up to now but hopefully in July we can return to in person meetings. International Lunch
If you are a member of the International Lunch group, you can travel all over the world without leaving the White Rock area! This group takes turns eating at a wide variety of restaurants serving food from different countries therefore, the food is often spicy but very, very tasty - for example, Indian, Thai and Greek are some of our favourites. To make reservations in restaurants the group is currently capped at ten members with three spares. However, as all ten members are rarely available, please feel free to put your name on the waiting list if you are willing to receive a last-minute invitation to lunch. FABS Book Club
Our PROBUS book club began in 2004, the year we were chartered. Over the years we’ve enjoyed shared experiences and the opportunity to build friendships. Through our book discussions we explore impressions, feelings and beliefs: these are usually varied and unique. We meet on the second Friday of each month at 10:00 AM. Walkie-Talkies
We meet every Tuesday at Crescent Beach at 10:30 AM. The loop walk takes about 40-45 minutes. We always walk with someone, chat, laugh and share experiences along the way. Once a month we have a special walk in another location followed by a lunch. There are no special requirements, just a desire to walk, have a little exercise, enjoy the fresh air and scenery, mingle with other members and get to know each other a little better.
